but rossi and schummy prove they could win in any bike/car while
troy could manage only ducatis, his time with sito pons was a disaster.

The thing I would add to this "stat fest" is the fact that Troy (god bless) has always ridden for the FACTORY Ducati squad in WSBK whereas Carl Fogarty rode privateer bikes in his early WSBK career. So what would the stats be like if you compared like with like? Pretty close I'd imagine. I'm not in any way saying either is a bad rider, before anyone starts!

Yes Buelliful and Foggy has four championships in six years on works bikes (one year on the RC45 where he won more races than the long time Honda rider in the same team). However, as many are saying on different threads, Bayliss is by far the more likeable character and I am not saying who is the best either.

Agreed Papi, I'd certainly rather have a chat with Troy over Carl and I cheered for Foggy for ages then kinda went off him after he retired and everyone that came after him "wasn't as good as when I raced",...etc

I still remember leaping for joy when Carl won at Donington on that Privateer Duke...ahhh those ***** white and Pink leathers....sigh..hehehehehe!

Loebs going for his 5th Lilo, not third. And statistics prove nothing, all it takes into account is numbers and nothing else, like factory teams and so on.

Never liked Foggy, but remember Bayliss on the ING GSE Duke at Knockhill with Mackenzie and Hislop on the Boost Yamahas.

Oh they were the days.

Comparning WSBK, MotoGP is pretty silly, to then also compare it to F1 is ridiculous. Slow news day Crash?

@Lilo.

Loeb is a great driver, but WRC has been pretty week over the last 6 or 7 years with little manufacture interest and poor quality competition. Loeb is good, but there isn't really anyone else worth a damn in WRC at the moment. It's a shame he wasn't ten years older racing against Makinen, Sainz, McRae, Burns etc etc.

Lilo is right: Loeb should be in that table too, and he would definitely be in good place.

Before Corsica, Sébastien Loeb won 45 of the 110 WRC rallies he took part in, and to date he won 4 world titles (2004-2005-2006-2007) in only 5 full seasons (he was second in his first season, in 2003)

In percentage, correct me if I'm wrong, but it makes a nice 40.9% of race wins, and a record-beating 80% of title wins, bearing in mind that Loeb is on track for a 5th title in 6 years, which would slightly improve his percentage...
