Doubling prices just as the World is entering into a Global Recession.....FGSport should be embarrased and ashamed of themselves. Even F1 is trying to smarten up it's act by cutting costs for next year. So, doubling costs, releasing a WSB calendar with a 10 week break, and dropping Brands Hatch, WSB's best attended circuit. Is FGSport trying to kill-off WSB?.....In my opinion, it's beyond belief!!!

So what the hell are FGSport thinking of more than doubling the price at times like this? Do they not realise that actions like this could effectively kill off a highly successful series? I realise that their own costs will have increased but as the only thing I can see is fuel prices and they are now the same as this time last year, what exactly is the cause of this HUGE
price hike?

They probably figure that their series popularity is going to soar soon due to the 800's in MotoGP being about as exciting as watching paint dry.

FGSport probably thought that JP would just roll over and pay it because of the latest influx of british riders. There's only one word to describe it, GREED, on FG's behalf.
If MSV had paid it and a brit won the title FG would think "They've paid double already, let's try it again"
Greedy B45t4rd5, that's all i can say

This is still far from a done deal people, JP is backtracking on this "other" event. I see light at the end of the tunnel....either that or i'm dead and about to go through the pearly gates :p

Hark - I hear the sound of a distant horse - Its Jonathan Palmer a knight in shining armour arriving at the 11th hour to tell us that the Brands round has been saved (albeit with raised ticket prices) and telling us to get our tickets soon as everyone will want to see our Brit boys in action.

Jonathan doesn't miss an opportunity for self-publicity and I cannot believe he would be able to get away with running an 'unofficial' Brands round - unless of course the unofficial one morphs into the official one. :-o

what goes around comes around
MSV have been jacking up the price of their track hire since Palmer took over.
I''m at the bottom of the chain (club racing) trackdays are the only way for us to get practice, these are now too expensive. MSV (Palmer) does''nt even run pratice days for club riders at his circuits!?
It would be nice, (a dream I know) if everybody stopped using the moneygrabbing trackday companies for a year. This would mean MSV would/might? reduce their track hire enabling the club racing & trackdays to be cheaper, thereby getting new people involved. Good riders, some very fast kids, are dropping out of racing because of the overall cost, their parents just cant afford it!

Not sure what club you race with but if you look in BMCRC-MRO (BEMSEE)'s provisional 2009 calender they have Friday practice days at Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park and Snetterton. The only MSV circuit they do not have it at is Oulton Park.

I hope this is not a publicity stunt to guage how much the fans want WSB at Brands so they know how much they can put the prices up on tickets next year.
No silly Formula 1 style ticket prices please Mr Palmer!!!! We might be dedicated but we don't want the p1ss taking!
