Even Micheal knows that WSBK will produce more interesting racing - its a fantastic series and is eminently more watchable than MotoGP (although I am a huge fan of both series).

Its good to see such a high profile sportsman like Micheal appearing in the bike paddocks - can only help our sport.

That's hardly the point though, is it? Don't be a hater, let the man have some fun.

Navi,

Problem with chilling is its incredibly boring as no doubt Schumi is finding out, hence the bike racing.

Hey derek, what Schumacher is doing now just gives more credit to motorcycle racing, so thanks to him, and look at his faces he enjoys it.

Anything which brings more viewers to bike racing is a good thing, although I am not sure about the wildcards in WSBK for Schumacher as he is not known for liking being mid to end of pack.

Good on him.

Please remember that the circuit is new to Schumi, as are the bikes.

Look at the recent Moto GP test- Kallio raced on the same circuit the day before and was 5 seconds off the pace, and he's a full time professional motorcycle racer!

Give schumi a full 2 day test and expect to see him knock 2 to 3 seconds off of those times.

The guy is an unbelievable talent.

For me the biggest shock is that he was slower on the Ducati than the Yamaha by 2 seconds. I know a lot of his racing experience is 4 cylinder on the 'blade, but I thought the twin would be easier to extract speed from?

Could it be there's just too much torque unless you can handle it?

Rather a misleading story as yesterday was a press day - Michael was just enjoying himself and why not - most of us would if we had retired young with millions in the bank. Re his times - I am sure he was under strict instructions to enjoy the bikes, but not do any damage, just as he was recently when he tried the Ten Kate bike. He tried the BMW S1000RR superbike a week or so back and wrote it off - so I am sure he was being extra careful. BMW are testing at the mo in Valencia, Yamaha and Aprilia testing at Portimao - so shame we don't get a direct comparison yet between the BMW and Aprilia.
