I would expect nothing less from the Germans - they probably snuck into Troy''s room while he was asleep and measured him up to ensure the pegs and bars fitted perfectly!

LOL...or had his wife "measure him up" as he slept!

Troy is a formidable development rider (as witnessed by the Petronas bike. Just because it didn't have an engine worth a damn didn't mean it didn't handle well...) BMW could have done worse, that's for sure, in their signing.

Yes its very annoying that a) they havent issued times and b) they tested at a different track to everyone else.

Its all we have to keep us going for the long winter months!

mcnews has a press release from BMW that says Troy Corser ran laps in the 1:35s on race rubber i posted a link on the Speed tv forums. Corser's best time with a Yamaha at Valencia was a 1:35.256 in the first race.

corser needs to be more aggressive when in a battle if he wants to win another

Corser does seem to lack that final killer instinct that Bayliss and Haga have which lets them pull victory from seemingly impossible positions - but then its easy to criticise when not actually wrestling one of those fire breathers around a track!

Hmmz. The man has 2 world titles, 95 podiums of which 29 are wins. I think that pretty much negates the notion that he doesn't have what it takes. Just because he doesn't have a do-or-die mentality like Haga, doesn't mean he is not aggressive enough. Corser is mature and rides with his head. Haga lost several chances to take the championship because of that do-or-die mentality.

Corser has proven himself to be the best development rider - i wonder if Kawasaki ever made him a decent offer to go to MotoGP.......

Two words - FOGGY PETRONAS!

No seriously I hope it goes well for Troy and he doesn't end up going round and round for years in last place on a joke bike again.
