"Please remember guys that we are voting for TOP rider for the year - not your favourite"

No it isn't mate, to get that result just look at the final standings (same as MotoGP poll)... This is about your "favourite star"... YOUR favourite rider!

has to be bayliss, corser and Max N.

middle riders. haga, max b, xaus etc all showed brillance but not consistant- all had injuries in fairness i think.

the kionaryi who didnt do anything until the british rounds-might as well of been a wild card instead. but i hope he improves, he is a great guy.

bad riders, tamada, rolfo etc

1050cc - The championship standings don't take into account bad luck, rookie status, track knowledge, bad luck etc. So that's the difference between those and how we rate them.

The 1st "bad luck" was meant to say "machinery"...

We all know who he is tbh.

Had his lows but was dominant all season long.

To those like 1050cc who have misread the title, it says 'Top Rider' not your favourite rider!
If it was this then It would include the friendly ones who always smile/ sign and loads of us have personal stories about them - this make sit such a good sport!
The question is Top Rider - as Bradders said - taking into account all that they had at their disposal.
ie Just cos Nieto got a load of points - was he better riding than say Xaus, or Muggas? They didn't have factory machines and against the relatively inexperienced Max N, I don't think that Fonsi did that well.
That is the point I was trying to make - just cos we like someone doesn't make him the BEST rider - just our favourite.

Top rider is already determined. Look at the standings and you have your answer. Why put a poll up asking for the top rider when it was clearly decided by the points standings? If Haga gets Top rider vote will they take the title away from Bayliss?

Read:
We've already asked you to vote for your top British Superbike and MotoGP star of the year, but now is your chance to decide who gets the honour of being your star World Superbike rider of 2008.

Key words: your top British SBK & MotoGP star......Your star WSBK rider.
Context clues in sentences are a valuable assets.
