The thing is, Ben was not giving a real shot by Paul. Ben should have raced Assen, maybe it was Ben's mom but bottom line is that Loris is near the end of his good racing career and Ben is up and comming. Maybe he'll get a shot next year.....

Don't know about Sacking Denning Dawg, I wouldn't sack either Vermeulen or Capirossi for Spies at this stage either!

Sykes and Xaus had better get used to getting whipped by their teammates!

like I said the other day, Spies is gonna freakin' kill it this year. I love Haga and if anyone on the grid deserved to win a title it would be him. But I'm American and have watched Spies come up and for him to be this fast out of the box with a low spec R-1 has to send a shock wave through the paddock. He's gonna be a title contender.

Dumba.s.s Paul Denning in the Suzuki MotoGP teams needs to be fired on the spot and escorted out of the building!

Spies is class, watched him on Motors TV when he was in AMA 600s and he was good then. But even with his undoubted class, I just have my reservations that he and Yamaha can mount a serious title challenge for this year. I feel that he and the new R1 are too unproven in this field - there's a massive depth of talent in WSB but you've still got to make Ducati the favourites. Haga will be desparate to pickup where Troy left off, and moreover he'll be gagging for that first title.

I just wish Mladin was there with Spies. That would have been a sight. Mladin is under contract with Suzuki America right now and he may not turn a wheel in anger this year.(and still make his seven figures.)

@Joe
"Jonathan Rea looking good to FooAtari.Another man that its all new too"

Yeah he is showing some real speed, I'd love to see Rea up front all season long and I think we will. He knows all the tracks for supersport so should be a real contender next year.

Ben will be near or at the top of the pile at the end of the season. He IS that good. Just wait and see. This season should be great even though Troy is gone :(

slowjoe, I remember several races in the last couple years where spies rode through the pack to claim 2nd or even win. I think he'll do ok in a pack.
It will be a bit of an adjustment to not have the quickest bike out there though.
