Hodgson is not finished he was here because he is driven and still has the talent. (look up the daytona test times he was a clear second faster and didnt need to be) Beyond that he is pure class and a top bloke. Any way i believe KTM is still shopping riders for SBK!

WSBK » AMA: Honda announces withdrawal

Honda doesn't quite spare motorcycle racing from their cut backs as they withdraw from AMA Superbikes.

Poor old Hodgy! Since 2003 Hodgy can''t seem to ever get anything right. Harris was the most unlucky rider, but it seems not!
A very talented rider, just hasn''t got the breaks - Where does he go from here? First Ducati and now Honda have left him in the *****

Maybe he just calls it a day and retires. He is WELL past his best anyway, as shown by his recent (lack of) performances in AMA.

Hodgson buggered again! He ain't short of a bob or two as Honda will have to pay out his contract. Be interesting to see where he goes now though. Maybe Formula Extreme? Maybe BSB, Maybe WSB? With all the good seats now long gone, he ain't got many options left. Maybe he'll just give up. He's definately a talented rider, but over the last few years his business management has been poor, and he's chased the cash in America. :?

So Honda cuts F1 - in the UK.
AMA - in the USA.
All down to the economic climate supposedly.
Any victims in Japan? Nope.
Typical Japanese.

Honda Suzuki and Kawasaki USA have been at odds since the DMG mess started. The final draft of the 2009 rules package has only seen the light of day in the past 10 days, and the above 3 OEM's have never been happy with the final draft, well they have never been happy with Edmundson or his DMG group since the AMA sold the road racing rights at Daytona last year. Politics and personalities have created an atmosphere that Ray Blank Honda USA + Mel Harris Suzuki USA have decided is not it the best interest of either of thier companies
Neil Hodgson is still fast, wish people would see what Suzuki USA had with Matt + Ben total dominance. Kawasaki no showed Daytona test,OEM's are not interested

Hodgson signed for Honda when nobody knew what was happening in the US, so he must have been given assurances by Honda that he will be racing with them next year somewhere. He's already had a year out and I can't believe he'd be prepared to do that again. I think he will be placed with another Honda team in either WSB or BSB.
I reckon they are using the credit crunch as an excuse to pull out of a chaotic race series because I can't believe Honda USA are worse off than Honda UK and yet we still have a team in BSB.
Hodgson for WSB is my guess.
