Crag - the 2007 Stobart Hondas were better than any other non factory bikes and not far behind the official Hondas who had the advantage of the only Michelins on the grid. I agree he will fall out with Kawasaki who ultimately will revert to the also rans they always are.

PB is a typical self made man, always right even when he isn't. No one has to ride for him but you take your chance and get a good bike and the wages that go with it. Is his treatment of riders reasonable – no, has he given many competitive rides – yes. Remember he had a bike lined up for Eugene Laverty last year purely to allow him to show his considerable talents.

Armchair Expert - "PB will tell them how "...how will he do that exactly? He's only ever done well when he's had the Ducati, which which was fast out of the box and he didn't need to develop. As soon as he switched to Honda, his team struggled. He'll be slagging Kwak in no time and they'll bin him in 2010.

You are right about him making mistakes, but he seems to be too ego fuelled for his own good, and it's only his cash that has kept him in the racing business, if he was just a normal team manager (rather than cash cow) he'd be unemployable and have no career in bike racing.

His treatment of riders is unforgivable....

PB has made mistakes but overall he is a fabulous supporter of bike racing, we need more like him. With Kawasaki shelving its MotoGP project they have the opportunity to become a serious player in WSB. PB will tell them how (will he just) but it won't be easy to change the mindset of a company content to settle for second best.
