It's a testament to Spies' skill and talent as a rider, and to the brand new R1 that they can be this competitive, really. The Yamaha team is doing decently, and Tom Houseworth is Ben's ace in the hole. (Anybody see similarities between this duo and another famous pairing for Yamaha?)

Ben may not win the title at seasons end, but he's more than given notice that he's a force to be reckoned with. Kudos to the young man for that.

I was a big fan of these guys before Spes came. But I have also beena big fan of Spies for years.

Can you imagine this year if Spies was not there? No one is even close. Rea was breathtaking to watch in SA, but way back in the race. Same with many others.

Thankfully Spies is there go go at it. He is an amazin guy to watch and without him this season would be a complete yawn.

Ok, I'm a fan of Spies too. As well as Haga, Biaggi, Corser, and Nuekirchner. You guys need to lighten up. Same thing I tell the wife, if you dont have anything nice to say then...

The real shame is that Hacking man's comments won't even register with the Spies fanboys on this site. They're too blinded by their "fanboydom" to even be able to grasp the salient points made in those comments.

Be the bike to be on just like the duc is in the early part of this year.
I'm not trying to take anything away from Spies, I think he is truly special and will go down as one of the all time greats in anything he turns his hand to, i just dont think its fair that certain people are trying to discredit his bike and his rivals unfairly, and trying to over inflate his already amazing performances. And as for people saying the duc is cheating thats why fab is starting to challenge, Fab got that ride because he got podiums in wsbk on a dog slow alto evo honda against the worlds best, he may have been inconsistent before but with a year on the duc he is finding his form finally and will be aforce

2008 bike as it was infamous for destroying it's tyre's much quicker than anything else.
Stop making out the yam is a dog by comparing him to his team mate. Ben is a triple ama champ who beat one of the greatest ever superbike riders in history to get there, and Tom was in BSB for two years, won 3 or 4 races and never finished higher than 4th in the championship, not really evenly matched are they?. Stop saying the yam isn't any good, Your discrediting Ben, yamaha and his team which is unfair for the great work their doing. The duc isnt superior other than development as its had a year's head start with on the yam, with more time the yam will only get stronger, by next year it could..cont

Were six rounds in twelve races down and and with a whole bunch of pre-season testing. At what point will the bike become familiar for him ???
Ben is making the yamaha look slightly better than it is but just that, slightly, it still has a way to go as far as developement is concernened but you only need to read mr meregalli's comment about how the new bike conserves its tyres like no other bike he has worked with, and you can see the yams strenth on the front end and its ace card of agility and being able to change direction quicker than anything else out there. People are trying to make out the yam is a dog when it clearly isn't, and it would be very different if they still had the cont..

Haijinu

Haga kicked troy corser's butt during 2 years when they were teammates. He won 13 races and none for the former 2 times world champion....

I could give more and more good args for shut your fanboy mouth, but this one is really good enough.

Use your brain before posting or watch a porn instead of trying to know what is racing

paul joiner you're really making me lmao :) Didn't you see i was talking to Hessian...? Are you both of paul and Hessian and forgot you were cheating perhaps LoL.

However i will answer you

why are talking about AMA and yoshimura Suzuki?

It's WORLD SUPERBIKE here. Not the same tracks, Tyres, teams and riders.

ALL the Best riders can learn quickly how does work a new bike new tyres etc etc.
Like THE BEN is doing!
That's a f*cking fact
You're wrong if you think ben should be faster with a Suzuki. Moreover i'll stop losing my time with that sh*t. Is Spies on a YAM or a Gixxer. :?
