Yay another round of "he's from US racing series lets hate on him" posts incoming.

I lost count of the number of times the announcers on BBC mentioned his birthplace.

Aside from all that pointless crap, anyone who doesn't think his results in race 1 ALONE deserve a WSBK seat are kidding themselves. He took an uncompetitive bike and got into the top 7!

I believe the WSBK paddock enlightenment relating to the abilities of AMA riders has begun. If race wins are what teams are looking for (rather then a spokesman/PR type riders) I would expect the old euro-guard to start looking over their shoulders as more AMA riders want to leave their home series.

I'm hoping that you get that chance Hacking! You deserve it! Great job this weekend despite race two.

He was making that not-so-good bike look fairly decent. Not sure how quick they'll be to call him back up though after he repeatedly ran into other Kawasaki's in both races!

love jamie. positive he would deliver if given the chance. could not have made many friends last weekend. seemed to be using his front wheel as a push broom to clear other riders out of the way. ran into broc during race one, then took out scassa at the entry to the fastest corner during race two.
want to make a showing, i know...but damn, don't hurt people in the process.

Too reckless (at least on that showing) and too old. BSB maybe?

It's one thing to let loose a pitbull on the competion but when it starts biting the other Kawi's it doesn't look too good. I know he was desparate to show his form and get out of the joke AMA has become but I was a bit disappointed in his over aggression.

That being said I would like to see him get one chance to ride in Europe to see what he's got.

BSB? Seriously VRob why would he do that?

Yes, Hacking was a bit aggressive but so what? He had a one time shot and he could careless about teammates and manners - all elbows, knees, fairings, and front tire! If they didn't like it they should have gotten out the way - this is the big bad WSBK right? He's only a lowly domestic AMA rider right? He looked like an axe murder out there - he was tossing the big Kwak around like a 600. His 7th was a best result for the team in 44 races - surely someone took notice. Especially since he was up to 4th place at one point.

I read an interesting interview that was done with hacking over the weekend on superbikeplanet.com. He was saying that the team was highly interested in what his team did to the ZX10 in the previous years. He said the team really didn't know what to do with the bike in terms of development. Being that Kawaski has had some degree of success in the AMA you would think they would pass that information along to other superbike teams.
