There is a slight difference between riding close and crashing others out. Who dont know this difference should watch the races in Magny Cours 2007 where riders like Haga, Bayliss, Max N. and Corser did the finest racing I ever saw live.
They were able to do so, Rea obviously isnt. I dont know for what he is apologising when he did nothing wrong? I feel, he did something wrong in kicking out one of the main contenders for the championship and I fear that this will be the secound time Haga will miss the championship- after the similar Biaggi incident in Misano 2007- he would deserve. Well done

I think any competitive rider would have gone for the gap that was there. Obviously Nori will be upset but Rea did nothing at all wrong.

Things have a way of evening out don't they, Fabby taking out Spies in a bone head move. I thought Rea was not at all at fault here.

Quote “Haga ran quite wide and I went on the inside and, although I didn't see him I felt a big bang and only found out he crashed after the race. I'm sorry for that but don't think it was my fault and I wouldn't blame him.”
So Johnny he went wide but you didn't see him? So how do you know he went wide? It may have been a racing incident but I think you know full well you knocked him off. You havent even got a chance of the title but take out one of the two main contenders and ruin it for the fans. :)

"However, as Haga returned to the racing line, he found Rea there"

There you go, Haga cut back onto the racing line but Rea was already there. How can it be anyone else's fault but Haga's. If he ran wide he had to keep the wider line, not cut back. Racing incident, but if anyone was to blame it would be Haga.

I agree with DBL.
If you run wide ,you made a mistake the rider behind you capitalises on it it's racing...
Sure haga is racing for the title but knowing this he should have been extra cautious, can't expext the other riders to lay out he red carpet for him anytime he's near them...
At least it was a honda that took him out and not a Yamahalol
can't forget Haga's teamate's encounter with ben spies... That's the only reason he was still leading the championship to this point...

Rea was clearly at fault in the incident.

Haga was already at the front so he had no chance whatsoever to see where Rea was.

But although Rea insists that he couldn't see Haga, I thought he did. So, did he go into Haga on purpose?

Not quite. He miscalculated. Bad judgement. But that does not mean he is innocent.

Rea was flying, allready setting the fastest lap of the weekend, in traffic, to get on Hagas tail. Coming on to the straight he was alongside Haga before the start/finish. Haga braked real late , overshot, pulled it back on line...BANG!! Thats racing innit..
I was a Haga fan till now.. quit whining, you sound like Toseland.
