Clarke back with GBR for Algarve

Dan Clarke will return to the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport this weekend in Portugal after being called into the GBR line-up for the event on the Algarve.

Clarke made his A1GP debut in New Zealand after Danny Watts was forced to miss the event to be at the birth of his child and will now be back at the wheel of the Powered by Ferrari car for the event in Portimao to start what he hopes will be a long relationship with the team.

The former Champ Car racer is also hopeful of competing in the events at Brands Hatch and in Mexico City which are still to come and said he was keen to try and help the team to the top of the podium.

"It's brilliant to be back with A1 Team GBR,” Clarke said, “and its great that we are planning for a long term relationship together into season five and beyond.

“I've got loads to learn and I'm looking forward to the last three races of the season and working with the talented team of engineers and mechanics we have here. We need to start putting together some really solid results, so we can get back to Team A1 GBR's winning ways as soon as possible.”
