Only 6.5 races this season then, what a mess. I pay £17 a month for sky sports just to watch A1GP - i'm not gunna be doing that anymore this season has been a disaster. I woner how much longer A1GP will be around?

I think this season has been a joke. Cars not ready to race, races cancelled. How can you build a championship up with that?

If it does not die due to finances or any other reason they have to review the format and insist different drivers compete in the two races each meeting otherwise it will be Jani and Carroll again and again and again.

A sensible decision from the organisers given the circumstances.

@kartman - why shouldn't Jani and Carroll win. Noone complains when Schumi or Hamilton won in their F1 single car teams. Perhaps if Team GB had got their act together they could have signed Carroll! Maybe a Team UK might consider it.

Anyway Good Luck Adam Carroll - you deserve the championship and I hope it becomes a stepping stone to greater things whether F1 or Indycar.

concedonulli- not knocking Jani or Carroll but the series conceaved and promoted as something different but as you confirm now the same as any other.PS Carroll is the better driver.

How is Jani and Carroll supposedly winning again and again an issue? There have been wins for Fauzy, Duval, Albuquerque, Bleekemolen and Doornbos this year, and we've only had 6 meetings! In 2005/6 Lapierre and Premat dominated, in 2006/7 Hulkenberg won almost half the races. There will always be driver/team combinations doing a better job than the rest. It's up to the others to raise their game.
