I'm owed money by this Sh*T someone on this site lovingly calls "MR Texiera" Do you pro Sh*t lobby really think the series can go on. This season's winning team has dissbanded with no prize money , New Zealand has dissbanded pulled out, Lebenon who paid their bills has pulled out with all the team layed off. France are about to call it a day along with South Africa, "Mr Texiera" has no staff left. The Silverstone facility is abandond, the London office only has a lawyer in it. "Mr Texiera" has no race cars and no equipment, a creditor is holding them against a huge debt, including innocent mechanics own personel gear. We are all dreaming if we think any money will come from these people

I am from the company who wound A1GP up, their ability to pay their bills was unfortunately, utterly appaling. There were quite a few other companies with barristers at the "winding up" hearing who were owed substancial amounts more than me.

I also know of many other sub contractors who are owed a great deal who didn't take the "legal route" and have just been fed the continuing pack of lies of "the money will be here in three days etc"....

It is a fairly close knit community between us "sub contract suppliers" who are all finding it difficult in the current climate. For a company such as A1GP to pop up and use the services of us all then abuse our skills they should be ashamed.

One of my concerns is that I'm sure there are many of us who have had our fingers burnt by A1GP this time round but there are still a lot of professional sub contract companies out there who are not aware.

Will A1GP pop up again under a different name and abuse the next batch of subbies, we are decent professional companies who actually make things for a living, me manufacture parts using skills we learnt as apprentices, I'm proud of what we do and most of us all supply the Formula 1 industry, we are a fading breed of skilled british people and without us the hi tech world of motorsport would struggle, someone has to make the parts!
A1GP thinking about F1.....not a chance.

Some business succeed but most fail - especially in racing. It was a monumental task to even start an international racing series. To be honest, I'm surprised it even got off the ground and survived this long.

It will take someone with a bottomless bank account to save the series. Any oil Shieks or Princes out there want an international open wheel series?

What's the old rule of thumb in racing finance 101? To make money in racing you must first start with even more money? Or something like that.......

I thought it was odd when watching the British GP, the A1GP building had the huge logo removed. I thought it might have been St Bernard of EFF1 up there with a hammer the night before! Possibly not though?

Whilst I do have some sympathy for Mr Middleton he must be aware that this is a high risk industry. I've been in motorsport since 1976 and seen hundreds of teams and manufacturers go bust, OK he got stung this time but I bet he made he made good money out of A1GP before the bad times came.

When TWR went bust people slagged Tom off but these were the same people who were happy to have the work and take his money during the good times.

Mr Middleton should remember that in motorsport you will get stung, its not personal or about abusing your skills its just the way it is.

What a great shame. I am saddened. While it didn't have the colour or glamour of F1 - remember these were 'F1' cars of early days. The A1 racing was good, close, proper cars without ridiculous technology. The guys 'drove' these cars. It is here we should understand why Bernie Ecclestone & Max Mosley made F1 what it is. Perhaps Max & Bernie could put their skills to use in A1??? If not, I am sure there is another 'Max' & 'Bernie' about, to save it (A1). Without them, A1 is sadly finished. :?

The question is: Do you know how to make a million dollars in motorsport? Start with $10 Million!

A1 ran only one race in the United States and never ran in Canada! The only people who knew that Andretti Green were racing in A1 were the Andretti Green team! No television! Zero media! I was at Brands for the inaugural race and I believed that there was a market for A1 but it was run by the racers themselves rather than employing a marketing/businessman! Dan Partel and EFDA did a better job with the Nations Cup in Formula Opel/Vauxhall! I know I was there!
