I'm owed money by this Sh*T someone on this site lovingly calls "MR Texiera" Do you pro Sh*t lobby really think the series can go on. This season's winning team has dissbanded with no prize money , New Zealand has dissbanded pulled out, Lebenon who paid their bills has pulled out with all the team layed off. France are about to call it a day along with South Africa, "Mr Texiera" has no staff left. The Silverstone facility is abandond, the London office only has a lawyer in it. "Mr Texiera" has no race cars and no equipment, a creditor is holding them against a huge debt, including innocent mechanics own personel gear. We are all dreaming if we think any money will come from these people

The Sheik made a lot of money with A1 and everybody got paid in his day, and that sounds like a good business man to me. Agreed, it's been downward vector for A1 since the Sheik left.

What prattish thing to say "I feel sorry for Tony that he made that unfortunate decision once to step in." A1GP had a great future under the guidence of the Sheik when he left it to a bunch of crooks with TT in charge it was bound to fail, bring back the Sheik and lock up the crooks

A1GP has entered the silly season, or should I say, a silly series?

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad for everybody involved. The series has never been commercially viable, it was a silly idea from a spoilt Dubai sheik and I feel sorry for Tony that he made that unfortunate decision once to step in. I think he regrets the day that he met Sheik Maktoum who escaped with a nice bonus from RAB to invest in more unviable Dubai projects.

"We are still waiting for an absolute confirmation from A1GP that the cars will get there in time," he said.

"From a timing perspective, there are some question marks over if they will make it.

"They remain upbeat that everything is going ahead but there is a big question mark.

"Our understanding is that they haven't left London yet and if that's the case obviously from a timing perspective it means it is going to be tight."

The New Zealand team is booked to fly to the Gold Coast on Tuesday but will not come if the cars have not landed by then.

V8s will 'easily' satisfy SuperGP crowds

THE New Zealand A1 team will not come to the Gold Coast until the A1GP cars have landed in Australia, as speculation the series will not make it here in time for next week's SuperGP reaches fever pitch.

A1GP Team New Zealand commercial director Hamish Miller said he had been kept in the dark and was sceptical London-based bosses would meet their promise to fly to the Gold Coast.

He was still waiting for confirmation and said his team would not be flying to the Gold Coast before he definitely knew the cars and equipment were here.

Brisbane Airport had also confirmed it had no bookings for the two Boeing 747s expected to bring in the cars to Australia on Sunday night and Monday morning.

"Absolutely this is the 11th hour," said Mr Hooton.

"I'm disappointed in the fact that it is the 11th hour.

"I don't deny there are millions of rumours ... they have had their problems and they are working through those issues.

"We will obviously be having a rather strong conversation with them."Mr Hooton still expects the cars to be available on Monday for testing at Queensland Raceway but said the absolute latest day for them to arrive was Wednesday.

"I didn't realise I was going to wake up with my face on the front page (of The Gold Coast Bulletin).

"I want these freight timetables so I can give that information to all of you."

Asked how A1GP would be about to book cargo aircraft at such short notice to transport the cars and equipment, he said there was a lot of 'spare capacity' in the freight market.

"If you are willing to pay the price, you can get the planes," he said.

Mr Hooton addressed a throng of media in Pit Lane after The Bulletin report that A1 cars would be forced to undergo urgent modifications before flying to Australia, bringing their appearance into doubt.

Brisbane Airport had also confirmed it had no bookings for
