Simple.
Go knock on Alan Jones front door and ask him what the situation is. He is a Queenslander or was the last I heard. If he is not home ask his son who is extremely smart and has all the answers.
If neither are at home as I recall Alan was declared Bankrupt sometime ago so the courts may know his whereabouts?
You can only try.At least give him the courtesy of reply seeing he offered the Govt this attractive event which is a coup and clearly sought after.
Fair Dinkum The QLD Govt would not have signed a contract without an out "Clause" surely. If not what sort of people do we have in Govt. Not ones with business acumen obviously. Private enterprise would not put up with this debacle.

"A1GP and event organisers have until Wednesday until they will be in technical breach of contract, with Fraser assuring taxpayers that the government had 'good footing' for legal action should contractual obligations not be met."

Well, if professional means that you get paid for it, then A1GP has been unprofessional (or amateur, as i prefer to call it) for about 12 months now as nobody has received a penny from them.
Very perceptive man there is Mr Fraser. I can see why he is in government :)

Don is right, bring the IRL IndyCar Series back to Australia. A1GP is quickly falling apart. If you want to see the full story on how bad things are with A1GP go to the open wheel racing forums at the Indianapolis Star website and read the threads titled "Sure sign of the apocalypse" and "Deathwatch: NASCAR Trucks, Atlantic Series, ALMS, Grand-Am, SuperLeague, A1GP...make your pick here!"

Well "goose" tough.

Jones has been involved with the A1Gp scene since inception. His role with the QLD Govt instigated this whole debacle.

You can run but can not hide. :?

Another question the QLD Govt say they can not obtain a positive or negative on the whole debacle from the series principal. Have they forgotten the purpose of a phone/email. We have representatives within the U.K who could surely pay him a call personally.

The U.K were quick to put our forefathers on a boat in chains for indiscretions. The same justice should be directed towards T.T with the direction to the Bermuda Triangle.

You are correct and the QLD Govt were warned by the Motorsport Fraternity at the time.

Jones should be held responsible in some manner.

Anyhow now due to the unknown factor of A1GP the series is dead. Any country that accepts their participation should learn from this experience.

Regards
