Bye bye A1GP, it was a nice idea and worked quite well for spectators. There are too many open wheel formula racing series to add another though.

European F3000, A1GP, F1, F3, GP2, GP2 Asia, Formula Renault...

Sad that the A1GP series died. Great concept, great cars (now) and unfortunatley we will prob never see anything like this again.

The V8 Supercars that ran can never replace real openwheel racing cars.

Ive been a fan since 1993 of the nation against nation series. Shame its ended that way. I would have loved to be involved in A1 , as I ran the OZ team in the original series. Lets hope someone buys it. youtube regteamoz

A1GP is a driving competition with equally matched cars. In F1, the 'drivers' are mere payloads & who can say who is the best driver when supercar is pitted against dog and NASA budget against tail end charlie outfits - B.O.R.I.N.G.
Jenson Button is a prime example of the 'sport', touring around the back of the grid for his first 100 races - now the 'best' thing on planet Earth. Problem is prima-donna drivers are scared of a level playing field!!!

you should do some homework on Mr TT.Have a look at all the companies he is involved in, Energem have also been suspended from Canadian and London exchanges, owed US$55 mil by A1GP.He con's investors to invest in one of his companies then robs Peter to pay Paul, A1GP was always a non starter, who in their right mind pays for all the equipment for individual teams to fly around?Rab Capital were conned US$500 mil to invest in GP.TT liked the high life and wanted to be the new Bernie Ecleston, Bernie is a shrewed business man, TT is a shrewed con man and a thief. You should google his background.

What is it about the motorsport illusion that so often attracts the get rich quick 'entreprenuers'. In reality there are probably only about 200-300 pro-drivers, team managers and series owners worldwide that make real money from motor racing?
Lets see now - Formula X, A1GP, Grand Prix Masters, Speedcar Series......
Anybody else care to extend this list of fatally flawed championships that cost innocent suppliers (and investors) a lot of money?
