Netherlands unveil 07/08 challenger

A1 Team Netherlands have revealed the car they will race in this year's A1 Grand Prix season, set to kick off at the nation's home round of Zandvoort in September.

Having raced a distinctive orange machine, in-keeping with the Netherlands widely recognised national hue, for two seasons, this year's more intricate design has incorporated white and blue into the livery.

The design is significant in that it was styled by JanWillem Bouwknegt, who entered a competition to design the car they would race this year. Out of 1,000 entries, twelve made it to the public vote before Bouwknegt's effort was rewarded by an unveiling in Maarsbergen.

Jeroen Bleekemolen, who raced the car throughout the 2006/2007 season, will reprise his role as lead driver in the team and he will be joined by Arie Luyundyk Jr. in the team.
