Zandvoort changes announced.

Having already amended its scoring system for the 2008/09 season, A1GP has now revealed a change to its sporting regulations for this weekend's season opener at Zandvoort.

Whereas qualifying normally takes place over four segments, this weekend will see a single hour-long session where teams will be able to complete as many laps as they wish – giving the chance to put more mileage on the new cars competing this weekend, some of which have yet to turn a wheel.

While that session will determine the line-up for the sprint race, the result of that race will be used to decide the grid for the feature race.

In an effort to conserve equipment, the mandatory pit-stop in the sprint race has also been canned for the weekend, although it will remain in place for the feature race.
