F1 » Bahrain Grand Prix 2013: Perez was too aggressive, says Button

Jenson Button: I didn't feel it was the cleanest racing with Checo and myself. I think it is great that we are allowed to race and that is fantastic. But into Turn Four we were wheel banging and that's not normally the way I like to race.

Poor old Button, not only has he got a crap car but now has a number two who if prepared to race him. I don't know why he thinks he should be immune from this and in any case they were both very aggressive and perhaps if Button were like that more often he would get a few more points. It's all pretty irrelevant anyway because they were only fighting for a few points not for the lead and it looks as if it will be like that for the remainder of the season so he will have to put up with it as Mclaren don't do team orders.

I enjoyed a lot of their battle yesterday, both McLarens were evenly matched, when Perez was ahead Button caught him quickly but DRS couldn't allow either to get away from one another.

I thought Perez running into the back of Button & banging into him down the straight was OUT OF ORDER & of course anyone would ask their team to "calm him down" he was be too dangerous he didn't ask the team to stop him from racing Button. I feel Button pushed him off the track as the team done nothing so he put matters into his own hands.

Ted Kravitz looked into the situation and found that Perez's driving made Button have to make a 4th pit stop, that's not a good situation.

If you people think Perez is vetting is authority on Button, then you have another thing coming. If Button can challenge Hamilton so closely over 3 years at McLaren (who is much better than Perez) then I know he's going to put Perez back in his place.

Two weeks ago Button was saying Perez needed to be more aggressive and 'step-up' for the team.
Perez has done exactly that and beaten Button, but he doesn't like that.

Can't have it both ways JB. Oh well, number 2 again huh!

Button burnt his tyres by getting into a scrap with Perez and Rosberg FACT
Running your team mate off the road is a no no!!! Thank God their were no wall there!

Ok, things worked well for Perez in the end, but it could have been completely different and everybody knows that. So, I don't think he's done a great job. He has a lot to show yet and his driving only showed his was under great pressure, and I belive he still is under this pressure.

Perez was faster. Button should have let him through instead of running him off the track as he did to Hamilton last year in Canada. Button, llike Vettel, is showing his true colours this year.
