Brabham for Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix.

David Brabham will contest the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix at Fælledparken, Denmark next weekend [2-3 August], having been invited to race a 1968 Ford Mustang alongside Denmark's Christian Nordal.

The Royal Pro-Am category will be hotly-contested and the assembled field will form a veritable who's who of sportscar racing. Brabham, who sealed his second consecutive GT1 class Le Mans 24-Hour victory in 2008 with the Aston Martin DBR9, will be joined by eight-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen, former Panoz team-mate Jan Magnussen, Belgian lady racer Vanina Ickx and Audi stalwart Dindo Capello.

The elite field will also be joined by HRH Prince Joachim, while HRH Princess Marie will present the Royal Pro-Am podium winners with their trophies.

“I'm very much looking forward to racing in Copenhagen, as well as enjoying the beautiful city and the event with my family,” 'Brabs' said, “It'll be great fun racing against fellow Le Mans 24-Hour and ALMS drivers on an informal footing but, with the excellent calibre of drivers taking part, the competition is sure to be fierce.”
