Flying Lizard Motorsports has revealed the squad that it hopes will push it closer to American Le Mans Series success at next month's Petit Le Mans, confirming three cars for the ten-hour marathon at Road Atlanta.
Just two races remain in the eleven-round season - at Petit Le Mans and Laguna Seca - and Flying Lizard holds the lead in both the GT2 drivers' and teams' championships. Jorg Bergmeister and Wolf Henzler are 28 points ahead of main rivals Dominik Farnbacher and Dirk Muller and 44 ahead of team-mates Johannes van Overbeek and Patrick Pilet.
The team is 35 points ahead of Farnbacher and Muller's Tafel Racing squad, with 55 additional points possible over the two remaining races.
In an effort to bolster its driving strength yet further, Flying Lizard has drafted in guest driver Marc Lieb to partner Bergmeister and Henzler, and the trio will look to reprise its season-opening GT2 success at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
van Overbeek and Pilet will share the #46 Porsche without the use of a third driver, while Seth Neiman, Darren Law and Lonnie Pechnik will drive the #44 entry.
