David Brabham got the chance to run in Kris Meeke's IRC-winning Peugeot 207 Super 2000 car back at the end of November.

The opportunity was set up by Motorsport News and speaking after the test at Silverstone's rally school, the UK-based Australian, noted that he was impressed by the experience.

"I was really trying to throw the Peugeot into the corners out the back of the course, but I was trying it too much and I ended up out of position," said Brabham, who of course won the Le Mans 24 this year with Peugeot Sport and who also won the ALMS LMP1 title with Patron Highcroft Racing .

"You've got to learn to set the car up before the corner. If I knew the car more I would know how much more I needed to pitch it sideways ready to get on the throttle. I got it sometimes, but other times I was too late with it.

"The car is very agile, but when you get in it for the first time you're not sure how agile it is, what it does, when to hit the handbrake or change gears," he added.
