Well I guess that explains why I am not as fast as these guys. My feet are size 44 also!!
I think the "secret" of Stoners success is that he is simply a faster rider, able to master the Ducatis idiosyncrasies. I have said before the Ducati/Stoner pairing is a marriage made in heaven. I believe they both need each other equaly, to dominate. Oh, and he is "one of the good guys" eh damo?

Me thinks this story is just padding out the site...

All the bikes have throttle and brake input sensors so we know EXACTLY how much throttle the riders use at each point on the circuit and how quickly the twist grip moves.

There is no mystery and we don't need to speculate- Ducati know how the riders use their bikes, Niccolo doesn't need to 'guess' for our behalf.

Interesting guy, I didn't know he studies mechanical engineering on the side. Could be very usefull fod Ducati in the coming years, somebody with on track knowledge and the theoretical backup is worth his weight in gold. :)

"Stoner brakes later and opens the throttle sooner!"

Honestly what would Canepa know?

Ask Twoddle if you want to know the real reason Stoner is fast - pure luck!!! Case closed.

Yes.."brakes later and opens the throttle sooner".
Always the skills of a faster rider.
This guy is something special. If Casey can be fully physically fit and able to ride to his potential..
even Rossi will not cope.Impressive to say the least.
Great season ahead!Go full health!!! :) :) :)

Thanks for the intro blah, reckon that is the longest excuse I've ever heard for being slow although it is a good attempt to dress it as techncal feedback.

I reckon eurosport can drop the throttle/brake info it's very msleading, it looks to everyone on tele that Stoner rips the throttle full open midcorner which is clearly wrong.

Canepa seems a nice enough guy but reckon he knows who butters his bread... :)
Incidently everyone else who has ridden the duc and told the tale contradicts this...draw your own conclusions....
Prediction: Stoner will never be fully fit again' cept maybe qatar and the other horsepower tracks.....

Have to admire the clear intelligence behind this guy.
Obviously has awe inspiring respect for the skill Casey Stoner has.
If that wrist can miraculously come good 100% then holy moly it will be the best season in ages.Fingers crossed.Love to see Valentino and Casey go head to head this new season.Fascinating stuff indeed.Seems the Ducati has improved agility..hopefully enough to match that Yamaha.
Skill vs skill..awesome season ahead.
Certainly at full health Casey is the best there :) :) :)is. :) :) :)
