Ouch! The line comparing JT's learning curve with Espargaro's must be like a knife in the heart.

It's obvious the team has lost all faith in Toseland - I understand Dorna wants a Brit in the series but why does it fall on Tech 3 to take one for the team?? :?

It will never work out for JT in the Tech 3 team. If his morale is low now how will it be next year when he knows the only reason he is on the team is because Dorna is forcing Herve to keep him.

He should either sign with Pramac or go back to wsbk.

When you hear comments such as the below, I think it would be a fair assumption to suggest that you need to be looking for a job elsewhere!

"On the other hand when you see Espargaro come from nowhere and set the fifth fastest lap of the race (at Misano, his second MotoGP event) do you really need ten years to show your potential?" - Herve Poncharal

JT, as much as I would love to see you up the sharp end of the field, you ain't going to be riding a Tech 3 Yamaha M1 next year. Sorry mate.

Wow... Edwards must have some serious pull in yamaha. Being good friends with The Doctor does have some perks.

Is it just me or does Poncharal did not sound too happy being forced to keep Edwards for one more season? :?

As I have said on this forum several times since JT moved to MotoGP, Superbike riders do not make good MotoGP riders and, although I would be sorry to see JT go, I'm sure that it is for the best. As for a Brit riding in the MotoGP, lets just give it a couple of years for Bradley and Scott in the Moto2 class and then we'll have some who have advanced by the correct route!

To all of those who kept harping on about Spies moving over to Tech3 next year: "I have got no relationship with Ben. ...on the release we saw 2010 Superbike and 2011 MotoGP". Let him win the championship before you start second guessing, looking into your crystal balls and reading your tarot cards! :D

This isn't a slight against JT but how can anyone expect Tech 3 to have faith in him at this point? They apparently gave him everything he wanted and he still hasn't delivered. It's not like they are expecting him to take a title (not at least with the likes of Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner around) but they don't expect him to be at the back of the pack on a proven bike.

Yeah no doubt Colin tends to be all talk, solutions next day, but at least he is closer to the front. Has he done enought to keep a ride? For any other brand maybe not. But since Yamaha has Rossi for the present and Lorenzo and maybe Spies for the future, it's not like they need a youth movement right now, So loyalty it is

Also I still don't get this "need to have a Brit" or any other nationality in the series thing. What the series needs are good riders. I'm not going to pull for a losing rider simply because he's an American. If they aren't cutting it I'd rather see someone else who is regardless of their nationality.

JT hasn't shown any signs that he is going to be anything other than a rider who makes up the numbers and is there for marketing reasons only. He's not first and won't be the last. I just don't want to hear him complain about not being competative.
