Important insight: Jorge admits he doesn't play a big role in the M1's development yet. Last year there was plenty of discussion whether or not Jorge was dependant on Rossi - dependant on his rival to be as fast as he is. I guess this interview should show Jorge's fans: he's fast, but he does still depend on other people to do some of his work for him. That's perfectly reasonable considering his age and experience though!

I like this kid more and more. His maturity in just the last half of last year to now is amazing. His riding has improved steadily. His attitude and personality is excellent. He is very forthright and unassuming in his analysis. He learns from them best and puts his own twist on it. He will be a great champion soon.

This is appears to be a change of tack from Jorge. Last year he riled Rossi, even suggesting Vale used his settings. This public admission over who is the Boss, for the moment, regards development of the M1 is Yamahas opening gambit to keep them both.
Somebody at Yamaha seems to have had a word and explained the big picture to him, and he seems happy to be patient..his time will definately come.
