Looks bad.

So Tilke makes it? I hate that he makes all of the new ones. They all have the same feeling and I really doubt bike riders like all these hairpins.

I think it looks good for a new track.

Big elevation changes, fast maggots/becketts esses, long back staight for slipstreaming, 150mph long right, few hard braking places for overtaking.

Reminds me a bit of Aragon and that ain't bad.

It's just good to see a western country, other than spain/portugal, actually building a brand new state-of-the-art track from the ground up.

Wouldn't happen here in the UK.

We've got to wait till race day and the driver's input to really judge Tilke's design. I personally have high hopes that Tilke has learned from his previous mistakes. @ Motojunky,that movie is Field of Dreams, where Shoe less Joe says "if you build it, they will come." I hope this will be true for Austin.

The reality is if you want a new F1 track you have to have Tilke build it. Bernie just doesn't seem to deal with anyone else. Maybe he had a bad experience with tracks not getting finished in the past or getting ripped off.

Anyway, good thing is Schwantz and co seem to be keeping Tilke team on a tight lead, making clear they didn't want a track like the others Tilke has built and rejecting the Tilke idea of different corners for bikes and cars.

Many crazed F1 fans and Moto GP fans are pleased to read there have been several contributing experts on the development of the Circuit of the Americas. Many F1 fans are not pleased with the Tilke designs. Even big time team managers are displeased. The fact that some sections come from older European tracks is great. I myself was maybe hoping for some similarities to the old " Oesterreichring circuit in Zeltweg, Austria. That, by far and away, was the best F1 and Moto Gp circuit ever built!! However, the front straight to the uphill first corner, bears some resemblance. Kudos to Tavo, Kevin and Co. Now, lets get racing!! I am frothing from the mouth to visit the 2012 F1 Race!!
