will he be as fast as last year, probably, but Aprilia will have more data and be closer.

will Checa have a shot this year, probably not at all.

will Aprilia run away with the series, most likely.

will Sykes have to setup up his bike for a 'slwer' ride in order to keep the tires, most likely.

is WSBK really competition or just an advertising experiment?

Sykes was clearly the fastest pilot last year, unfortunately competition does not exist anymore in F1, MotoGP and WSBK, control tires control the outcomes and do not allow teams/manufactures to break past those critical limits.

will WSB still be more competitive and a better watch than most other 1000cc series.......probably

do you...
a) ever ride a bike?
b)understand the complete contradiction in your above statement?
c)watch any kind of racing?
d)Understand the complexity of making a 30 year series an ''advertising statement''?
e)Realise that Riders ride bikes, pilots generally are air bound and drivers drive cars. ?

The critical limits of tyres are the same no matter which series. The tyre limit is grip versus lean versus speed........that is no different for 60 years and will never change as long as tyre's are black round and rubber (Schwantz's words not mine)

yup, I have probably watched more racing than you in the last 2-3 years, probably 5-10x over, I have and operate, and maintain my own bike, its quite fun, there are no contradictions, do you even know what a contradiction is? Of course pro racing is about commercials :) lolz, do you really think its about anything else? TV ratings and commercials, just like crash with all their adverts. And yes, you can develop tires which work better for some bikes and not others, all you have to do is look a the control tire in MotoGP, proof positive.

The tire limit is not grip vs lean vs speed, its about managing the temperature of the compound so that it affords the pilot the best amount of grip (static friction w/ respect to contact patch and road at any one particular moment). Also limiting the heat buildup to afford longer runs on the tires. The pilot with the best setup will have the best chance.

Certain characteristics of a bike which are not inherant in other bikes determine the setup, affect the geometry, and the way a bike is setup, these factors directly attribute to whether or not teams can make tires last.

In WSBK teams use production based equipment with restrictions on chassis development. This is not prototype racing, and thus Kawasaki cannot develop a bike around these tires and therefor they will, even if they can build a faster bike will remain constrained about the characteristics of the tires and how well their setup integrates with the attributes of the tires, which is A LOT MORE than just 'rubber'

I again think some people are getting SUPER carried away by the performance of the Aprilias in PI.

After Max came from STONE LAST to second at last year's opener, everyone said exactly what they're saying now... Max will run away with it etc. The Aprilias are just really solid at PI, we will still have plenty action this year.
