“At the moment I have no contract for next year” - Stefan Bradl.

Getting a bike now demands absolutely unerring determination, an almost pathological will to win. He is on the up in recent races but so far hasnt earned the bike....time will tell. If he wins, then he deserves the bike. Best of luck to him.

Glad I'm not a racer. These guys have contracts written in invisible ink. Even when you have a contract it seems there is always the "your out" option by the factories/sponsors.

Sorry Bradl, there can only be 4 "best" bikes, and those are spoken for, you are merely a pawn. I bet racing used to be fun and rewarding for you. Now you must bring money and ride above the bike's intended level just to keep a ride.

I think he's done pretty well, but what do I know? Maybe Honda just want Cal on their machine to avoid more point loss in the future? Maybe this series' ship has sailed in terms of ability to give a proper show?

Just wait for the 'Bradl could be displaced by Stoner Shock Return' headline next!

or "Bradl ousted - Stoner to get full factory bike back with LCR!"

Its all wheels within wheels anyway. Like Don-R pointed out - Germany is a more important market than UK for Honda, so Bradl carries more weight than CC even if he's beaten by CC most likely.

I liked Paul Birds comments in the Eurosport commentary box where he said he was asked to consider Hernandez for a seat at PBM along with his Dorma support package, which basically meant " you WILL sign Hernandez".

Ability is not THE factor in selecting who gets a MotoGP ride - its MONEY.

WHY OH WHY are there ONLY 4 seats available that can win a race. if MotoGP is really following the footsteps of F1 then ALL customers should be allowed to have a factory-spec engine. How you intend to win a race is up to you but your engine will be the same as the factory boys.

@ ducati1098 Absolutely.

I bash on about the nonsense that allows this to happen for ages. Glad to see there are others - we could do with a lot more so that MotoGP (Dorna) actually take notice that we KNOW that the series is a hopelessly uncompetitive biased MESS, and that 80% of the field are wasting their careers and risking life and limb in a series they haven't a hope in hell of ever having a fair shot at.

I know private teams make a living out of being in MotoGP (they ain't there for the racing and the competition cos they aren't allowed any) - but HOW they do and attract sponsors in an environment like MotoGP is a mystery to me.

Its not money because Bradl brings in big bucks from the German market.
Its his ability that was questionable up until Laguna.
Can he stay at this level?

Personally not a fan of riders like Elias, Baustitsa, Bradl only riding hard when they think they are getting the sack.
