Plain speaking from Mr Ellison and you have to admire that. Not pulling any punches but still balanced and fair. I think many people would not be quite so level headed given the way that Mr Bird has allegedly treated him. I think the guy has a great talent and I hope that he still gets a chance on a much bigger stage.

i like ellison. was pretty obvious he got a ****e deal at pbm on a new low spec crt bike. he got results and he should have been given an extension and work conditions. i ve heard pb being interviewed and he sounds like an arrogant , lord it about , offhand ******.
glad to see james riding at the front at bsb races.

'allegedly' being the word here.

This is the way pb does business, James knew that before he joined the team but because he was skint he jumped at a great opportunity (for him) to help develop a machine and get paid for it.

What he forgets is he's not a star. A very small fish in a big pond and very replaceable as proved!

Get your head down, stop effing about trying to look a star and perhaps you'll win a race or 2

I don't think Paul Bird give a toss what people think about him. This guy make his money from vast factory farms
where thousands of chickens are reared in terrible cramped conditions for about 40 day, then hung on a production line and killed as they pass an electric wire.
Sounds like he treats some people almost the same. Last year he was arrested for making threats to his own wife. Not a very nice man by the sounds of it

On the other hand, where are all the good guys who should have overwhelmed the SBK series as team owners and, thus, making the bad ones (as the one aforementioned ) acces anything but impossible ?

So he kills and sells chicken and makes lots of money from it. Do you eat chicken? Do you think it grows on trees?

All JE gives it is the big sob story about being bombed off from gp and being badly treated, perhaps if he'd done the job that he was employed to do (development) he would still be in the 'big time'. I'm sure others are getting sick of it as well!!

James is telling it how it is. He is not trying to be a star, he has accomplished "much " in his career. One world championship endurance Title. Two European championship titles. Suzuka 8 hour (3rd but first in his class) 2nd in British superbike championship. Winner of the rider cup in bsb and was badly injured that year but came back and still"shone" British newcomer champion. He did well in motogp. Last year. He was once again "testing" in a race situation, (having no pre testing as he did in previous motogp season when he was also testing in a race situation for Dunlop tyres which gave Tech3 their chance to stay in Motogp. Apart form all that he has done well . He has said nothing wrong about Paul bird, and never will, Paul bird has helped James prior to his motogp season, Whatever happened for Paul to relieve James of his "duties" in motogp no one will ever know. Except the team. But I cannot see what he did wrong. Laverty is being given a chance again for anot

After his season with Tech3 I felt sorry for James. I thought it was unfair that he'd been pushed out in favour of Checa when he'd signed up as sole rider. After AMA, however, I began to have my doubts. I wondered if he ever bothered reading the contracts he was signing or took any legal advice.

Then when I heard about his dealings with Bird I realised that he has no business sense at all. No problem with that as such, but if he has no business sense he should employ somebody to be his business manager. Even if he only does it for a couple of weeks a year when he's signing (or not signing!) contracts I'm sure it would help his career.
