"i understand well the change made to four-stroke engines, because four-stroke engines are more environment-friendly. And the subsequent change to 800cc is also easy to explain, as it was done to improve safety for the riders"

what safety? honda just wanted to win easily (the thought was lopping a cylinder off their v5 would mean they would win 800''s easy peasy). it''s not safer to go around all the corners faster like the 800''s are doing! the litre bikes were faster in a straight line, but people don''t crash in straight lines...
the 800''s are more dangerous, and they know it. Honda just used this ploy to get their 800 idea made as new rules. pathetic.

c''mon yamaha and show ''em!

Q: why don't you give Nicky Hayden the support you Give Danny - Danny shows up and you design a bike based on his size and riding style leaving Nicky to struggle on a bike developed for a smaller person?

Although I agree the 800's haven't made things safer I don't think Honda was using it to gain some advantage. The RC211V was already dominating the 990 era when the idea was hatched. The reason Honda pushed for 800's was the death Daijiro Katoh. He was Honda and Japan's great hope for their first premier class champion and he was killed at his home track. Don't underestimate how deeply the affected them.

@lean two

The 2007 RC212V was designed for Dani because the powers that be at HRC at the time thought he had more potential to dominate than Nicky did. Several, if not all of those guys ousted before the end of last season. The 2008 RC212V was designed more towards a larger rider with more input from Nicky. At this point it is Nicky's job to beat Dani. He has been faster on occasion in testing and practice but he hasn't been able to translate that into race results. Right now it is largely in Nicky's hands.

All the motoGP bikes are suitable for each riders,about a seat position,
foot steps positions,a cowl size..so it isn't exactly RC212V is made foronly
Dani and it's sure it's different between Dani's and Nicky's.
You can comfirm it what is the differenses if you pay attention to check other MotoGP bikes!
