Beechdean roll out big guns for Britcar 24

Beechdean Motorsport has announced the signing of British GT Championship title winner James Gornall for the 2008 running of the Britcar 24 Hours at Silverstone.

Gornall, who has taken the British GT crown alongside Jon Barnes in the Team Trimite Dodge Viper, will join Beechdean regulars Andrew Howard and Jamie Smyth for the round the clock event, with the trio joined by sportscar veteran Neil Cunningham at the wheel of the Aston Martin N24.

The team will also run a second car in the event with Jonathan Simmonds, Tim Crighton, Adrian Watts and Chris Wilson at the wheel.

“We can't wait to get racing,” team principal Howard said. “We have been planning this for some time now and are really excited by the challenge ahead. In addition we are delighted to be in a position to be able to run a second car.

“We know that the Aston Martin's are built for endurance racing so it will be down to us to deliver on track. I'm delighted that we have James and Neil joining us and without doubt we will be looking for success come the chequered flag on Sunday night.”
