F3 and
British GT Championship organisers SRO have announced that Motion Works UK Limited has been appointed to run press and PR for the British
F3 International and Avon Tyres
British GT Championships in 2006.
Motion Works managing director Roger Etcell is well known to the teams within both series having been involved in the championships during recent years, while Jeff Carter will act as press and PR manager having joined the company from Rockingham Motor Speedway.
“We're extremely pleased that Motion Works has been appointed to handle the press and PR for two high profile national championships this year,” Etcell said. “We have a long association with
F3 and GT and I'm looking forward to working with Stephane and his team this year.
“Our main aim is to work with the teams, sponsors and the circuits to increase the media information and profile of the two championships and in turn attract more people to come along and watch some extremely exciting national racing during 2006.”
SRO chairman Stephane Ratel said he was pleased to announce the deal and said he felt that it would help to boost the profile of both the
F3 and GT championships.
“Having worked with Roger Etcell for many years when he was at
Silverstone, I'm happy to announce the appointment of Motion Works to handle the Press & PR for British
F3 and
British GT this year,” he said. “Motion Works will work on increasing both the public and media awareness of both championships, working closely with SRO and all of the sponsors, including the GT's new title sponsor Avon Tyres.
“I'm confident that 2006 is going to produce some exciting opportunities, both on and off the track.”

British GT Championship will be contested over 8 rounds for cars in 3 classes, GT2, GT3 and GTC. New for 2006 is the GT3 class for cars eligible in the new
FIA GT3 Championship, with cars qualifying for last years GT3 class now competing in the GTC Class.
Ferrari, Porsche, Panoz, Aston Martin, Marcos, Mosler, Ginetta, and Morgan are among the famous marques set to be represented over the coming season.
