Electric G50 to appear at Goodwood

An electric version of the successful Ginetta G50 is to appear at the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed next month.

The G50 has emerged as a real success story for Ginetta following its launch, with victories in the GT4 class of numerous GT championships and a successful one-make series now running as part of the BTCC support package.

The new G50 EV is the latest addition to the G50 family and will head to Goodwood following a development programme that has been running for the past 18 months.

Based on the same chassis as the G50 race car, the EV is charged from a 13 amp plug and will have a range of up to 250 miles when fully charged.

“Goodwood is renowned for celebrating the most significant cars in the history of motorsport so I'm delighted that Ginetta has been invited to participate,” Ginetta chief Lawrence Tomlinson said. “Goodwood is always huge fun for entrants and spectators alike and it's a great opportunity to showcase how far our electric car has come.”
