Century to join Brit GT field at Donington

Nathan Freke, the current leader of the Ginetta G50 Championship, is to make his debut in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship at Donington Park.

Freke will be joined by single-seater racer Ben Hetherington for the weekend at the wheel of a Ginetta G50, entered into the GT4 class by his own Century Motorsport team.

The pair will hope to take the challenge to Team WFR – which has dominated the GT4 class with seven wins from ten races this season.

"We had hoped to do several rounds this season," Freke's father Clive said, "but date clashes have meant we have had no opportunity until now. It's going to be a good experience for both of them, and we are hoping that Nathan might be able to provide a little difficulty for the class regulars.

"That said, the two-hour race is a tough one to tackle and we've never tried the car without the wing, so it will be a steep learning curve."
