Piranha confirms 2010 programme
Piranha Motorsport has confirmed that it will enter a full season on the Avon Tyres British GT Championship for the 2010 season.

The team will field a Lotus 2-Eleven for Chris Bialan and Simon Mason having run in the 2009 season at Brands Hatch.

The car, which has undergone a series of upgrades over the winter, will compete in the G4 class against the likes of the Ginetta G50 and Nissan 350z.

"We are very serious about the challenge ahead," said Mason, "and we are not entering the British GT arena lightly. We proved at Brands Hatch that the car is quick and reliable, and we believe that the upgrades we have made will make it more than competitive."

Returning series manager Benjamin Franasovicci was also delighted to see the car joining the grid for a full season.

"I am pleased to see the Lotus 2-Eleven of Simon and Chris joining us for a full season in G4,” he said. “We enjoy a special relationship with Lotus, and Chris Arnold and his team have worked hard to make the 2-Eleven competitive.

“We expect some more Lotus machinery to join us and I am positive, from feedback received at the Autosport show this week, that we will see a healthy G4 grid."
