Being careful here i have to say some of the comments about Josh Brookes here are disgraceful to say the least. Honestly some of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Josh is a great rider and great bloke too who i have to say is gutted about what happened today. He would be the first to admit if he had made a mistake and the data from the bike shows the brakes failed. He had visa problems due to this countries farcical immigration rules and was beyond his control. He also got his ride on the HM Plant bike thru sheer talent and hard graft. Honestly get lifes people you really are shameful and should also get your facts straight before you shoot a guy down in flames.

VR6Andy , Josh Brookes was going way to fast ,it was a sighting lap not a warmup lap ,even if he was having brake problems that is no excuse for running into another rider on the sighting lap . Josh Brookes is a verry talanted rider ,but today he was not thinking to go that fast on a sighting lap,and that mistake might have ruined his carrer ,and put Sylvain Guintoli's carrer in jeoperdy

Although an announcement soon after the accident and prior to examination of on-board data initially determined a problem in the "operation of the braking system" as a cause for the accident, further investigations revealed there was "no evidence of mechanical failure".

VR6Andy, I agree some of the comments about Brooks are disgraceful... but...

How can your brakes be working perfectly one minute, then suddenly you have none, and the lever travels "all the way back to the handlebar" (his words), then suddenly cure themselves when the bike is back in the pits. It ain't possible mate... He made an error. Unfortunate for him it cost Guintoli his title hopes, but would have far more respect for the bloke if he just admitted he made a mistake...

Posted by SmutMonkey or should that be "Spank the Monkey" :-o
Anyone else think Brookes should just f**k off back from where he came?
Brookes is nothing short of a mobile chicane on some of the best machinery out there.
I also think two Aussie's in a English team is a travesty, completely wrong......

Its a Japanese team based in the UK you idiot.
Obviously there were no British riders worth the ride in the opinion of the manager AND Honda. Also its their opinions that count NOT yours pea brain !
Have you ever had an accident or made a mistake :?
Thought so :-o

So there I was, at the bottom of the loop, just lining up the camera for a shot of sylvain, when someone comes up the inside waaaaay too hot for a sighting lap and takes the bloke out. Sorry Josh, that was a "clubbie" error. STUPID.

I'm a Leon fan through and through but this is just a nightmare for the championship. There is absolutely no one who can possibly beat Leon to the title this season now unless he gets injured or has loads of mechanical problems. Guintoli was the only one making the championship interesting. Roll on next year when Leon is in WSB. Hope you recover back to full fitness soon Sylvain.
