"What I am concerned about is that they are not told by Yamaha just to ride to help Spies' cause"

LOL. Yamaha doesn't have to tell them anything. Since Spies was here last year, they will be behind him anyway!

roundabout,

I take it you didn't know that last years BSB tyres were a lower spec than the WSBK ones and that this years BSB are the same as WSBK (and the WSBK version has a supposed half second improvement over last years version as well)

All of which adds up to... only every compare times done by machines running at the same circuit at the same time, running to the same specs and on the same tyres... in other words, wait till after the event, then you might all have an idea of just how good Leon, James, Ben and Tom are relative to each other.

I see all the Britt fans still doubt Spies. I remember people on here spewing nonsense that Big Ben wouldn't be a winner at MMP, yet he just ran away with it by about ten seconds over second place both races.

Go ahead you doubting Thomases. I hope you come back on here and apologize after watching Spies beat up on your prized Britt riders.

I think its fantastic that Ellison and Camier are coming to race! I think alot of people are out of their minds thinking they will block for Spies though....Looks like he can hold his own.

Camier is the ONLY Brit that can win a WSBK race this year. The Donington round should be fantastic, I can see Leon fighting for the win with Haga and likely Spies.

Hey Ken,
I am an American, and I went to the last 2 BSB races in the UK,and I dont think anyone there doubts how good Spies is,they are just passionate about their riders and will cheer them on until the checker'ed flag waves, and that's how it should be.And Yammy,I believe when Ellison comes to grips with the R1,you are going to see another WSB contender,so hold on to your hats,ITS GOING TO BE GOOD RACING!!!!!!!!!

JT,

I am jealous that you were live @the last two BSB races. I absolutely love the fans of WSBK and their feedback, no matter what country they come from, or root for, (yes folks, that's the way we spell it in the U.S.A.).

But a lot of the "fans" here on crash dot net talk a lot of trash about Spies. He's arguably the best rider to come along since Valentino. Time and accomplishments will prove my observation correct. He should be standing with ten wins right now, and I fully expect him to dominate the second half of the WSBK season.

Trouble is, no one wants to pay me the case of beer once this comes to pass.

JT and Ken, most on here are fans of the sport and most have not trash talked Ben at all. What has happened is that there are some from the USA who have big mouths and there are some from the UK who have big mouths...rather than appreciating all the riders and the sport we love they prefer to mouth off to each other. The rest of us however are enjoying the season and appreciate all the riders quality even if we support one in particular.
As for my earlier comment re: GSE, they don't need to let Ben through but they will make it easier for him to pass if needs be and all they have to do in theory is be in between Ben and Nori so that he can get more points compared to Nori over the 2 races.

Hey Cubikrube,
I have to agree with you on the big mouth statements, because some of the junk on here is just real hateful, and maybe people dont realize the racers read this as well.I too am enjoying this season, got some awesome racing going on. I do have a big interest in BSB,as well because James Ellison is my son in law,and he is just a great person and fun to be around. And I really believe he and Leon will want to put Spies on the #3 step of the podium behind them!

I have James in my fantasy bike league JT, hoping he does well, just don't want him beating Nori lol. BTW i've seen your daughter and i'm not going to be at all rude but she's a pretty girl and i spose James is a good looking lad (if you like that sort of thing) so i can see how they got together. He might not have had a great time in AMA but he obviously got something out of his time out there :)
