BSB » 'Shakey' shakes off controversy in P1

No wonder he''s looking forward to it...it''s becoming a laughing stock, and tomorrow I''ll be watching formula one because BSB is only available on eurosport...what a mess...

BSB isnt until Monday anyway, however that doesnt help if you dont have eurosport! I am going to watch the F1 as well seems as there is no bike racing on Sunday, but dont expect much exciting to happen unless it rains.

The WSS ten kate boys are substantially quicker than the local teams - I wonder if they are scoring points during the race or just taking part?

Just tends to emphasise how much the 'best national championship in the world' has gone down the pan.

What do you guys expect?
Palmer wants you to go to his circuits and spend your money there, not watch it on TV.
And ever since the BSB rules diverted from WSB, well you know it's gonna decline.
Any bozo (unless you run AMA) knows that to be successful long-term, all superbike championships need exactly the same rules.

I guess the Ten Kate bikes have had more money thrown at them - but over a second from Pitt to the next BSS bike is a huge gap. Hopefully it will close up tommorow with qualifying...

BSB only being available on Eurosport isn't a mess at all Tootal, its a result. When the TV rights switched from Sky to ITV a couple of years ago, it went completely down hill. We had 'highlights only' coverage of race 1, with the only full coverage being shown at 23:30 at night (on a Sunday when most people have to be up at god knows what time for work the next day), plus there was no coverage of any support races, plus it was presented by an ex rower (of all people) in the form of James Cracknell !! At least now Eurosport have the rights we get to see 90% of the racing live, plus the program is presented by people who have a background in the sport i.e Jamie Whitham, James Haydon etc...

I have to agree that the coverage on Eurosport is brilliant - and any races that arent covered on the day are collected on Thursday.

The other weekend when WSBK and BSB were on together I think it was something like 8 hours of non stop live bike racing on the tv. My wife had to peel me off the sofa at the end of it all!

I got Sky just to watch the bikes - its not a bad deal.

Shaky fastest what a surprise!!!! Will he hold back at the start to make it more interesting or just p**s off into the distance? AGAIN !!!!!

If he's got any sense (which I'm sure he has) he'll 'p*ss off into the distance...AGAIN'. I know I would....
