Walker let a load slip on the WSB site the other day. Haslam to Stiggy, he said Cal was to Supersport, and he hinted he was on his way back to BSB. I love the bloke, would be good to see him on a competitive ride - and even better to see him actually do something with it.

Hmmm.... When Johnny Rea did this i thought it was a bit of a backward step, but with a bit more thought I suppose it brings knowledge of the WSB tracks and also will build confidence in the riders for the step to WSB. Crutchlow can certainly run up front with these boys and good luck to him... Maybe work on staying on it though Cal! :)

Congratulations and good luck to Cal. I would have prefered to have seen him in WSB next season, however, if he gets a factory WSS ride he will use it as a springboard to WSB the following year on either a factory or near factory Superbike.

Congratulations to Cal on this deal! Something I feel Karl Harris should have done several years ago.

Excellent news! :)

with cal moving to factory yamaha team in supersports, will yamaha hire someone like checa or even hodgson for a year or two to help develop the bike so sykes and crutchlow can dominate through 2010/11 and so on...

Unfortunately i can see Leon Haslam getting left behind as all the other front runners depart for WSB/WSS , maybe he's missed his chance for good on the World stage.
Has anyone heard what might be happening at Rizla Suzuki in BSB for 09, maybe Yukio will come back?

There looks like a lot of unfilled seats in BSB next year so there's a great opportunity for some of the rising stars to make an impact.

Good luck Cal: I know you will mak us proud.

Does this mean no room for Laverty at Yamaha? Would be a shame, Foret's getting on a bit.

Odd they're not hanging on to Broc Parks tho innit?
He's done well for 'em for two seasons.
And Foret's none too shoddy.
Its not a bad bike 'tho and as said above and in related posts yesterday, it ain't a bad way for Cal to learn the circuits with a fraction less pressure on him.
