Camier top in Knockhill warm-up

Leon Camier topped the times this morning during the warm-up for the sixth round of the 2009 ViSK.com British Superbike Championship at Knockhill.

Camier, who is the runaway championship leader and who will start from second, posted the quickest lap with six minutes of the session to go. He opted for 11 laps in total.

Simon Andrews meanwhile was 'best of the rest', just 0.153 seconds slower than the Airwaves Yamaha #1.

Andrews put his MSS Colchester Kawasaki up to P2 in the final minute knocking Hydrex Honda's Stuart Easton and pole sitter, Josh Brookes down to third and fourth. Brookes was 0.247 seconds off the pace on his HM Plant Honda.

James Ellison rounded out the top five followed by John Laverty, who had been in the top-four until the final four minutes, and then 'sub' Michael Rutter.

Julien Da Costa, Karl Harris and Graeme Gowland came in eighth, ninth and tenth, the latter 0.606 seconds off Camier.

Ian Lowry finished just outside the top-ten in eleventh, while Chris Walker had technical issues and only managed one lap.
