As expected, Tommy Hill has been retained by Worx Crescent Suzuki for the next ViSK.com British Superbike round at Brands Hatch following his star turn at Mallory Park.

Hill set the pace on his return to action around the Leicestershire circuit, topping each free practice session and qualifying in second position.

Although an accident in the first race and treacherous weather conditions in the second saw him come away with a mere eighth place result, Hill had done enough to merit a second outing on the GSX-R1000.

"I was obviously disappointed not to turn our good pace at Mallory into a pair of good results, Hill said. “I was instantly very impressed by the Suzuki and of course riding with a team that has such a great pedigree in BSB gives me the best possible chance of success.

“Brands Hatch is my home circuit, so I'm very happy to be back on the bike for this round and feeling very confident now I've had some time on the bike now too."

Having been described as 'dazzling' and 'a real revelation' following Mallory Park, team manager Jack Valentine was thrilled to invite Hill back to compete.

"Mallory was clearly a very disappointing round thanks to the actions of another rider, but Tommy impressed us hugely. While clearly very fast, Tommy is also very professional and gave the whole team the same feeling we had before Sylvain was unfortunately injured.

“For these reasons we are delighted to confirm that Tommy will be back with us for the next round of the series at Brands Hatch."
