Muggeridge confirmed with HM Plant Honda
HM Plant Honda have confirmed Karl Muggeridge will join the team for the next two MCE British Superbike Championship events at Brands Hatch and Cadwell Park, with Steve Brogan and John McGuinness sharing a seat alongside him.

Ten years after last competing with Honda in the British Supersport Championship, Muggeridge rejoins the team to revive a long-standing relationship with the manufacturer having interrupted it with a stint at Celani Suzuki in the World Superbike Championship this season.

Confirming the deal following a successful test at Cadwell Park last week, Muggeridge will replace countryman Josh Brookes, who has been suspended for two races following his Mallory Park faux pas, at Brands Hatch and Cadwell Park.

While Steve Plater was originally earmarked for the second seat alongside Muggeridge, taking the spot of the injured Glen Richards, the Supersport title contender is choosing to focus all his attentions on that series.

As such, the Australian will be joined in Kent by Steve Brogan, who gets a second outing on the Superbike after a top ten turn at Mallory Park, while TT legend McGuinness will make an appearance at Cadwell Park.

Although he never scored a podium in 107 races at World Superbike level, Muggeridge is a former World Supersport Champion and factory Honda rider.
