Camier back in front in FP3

Championship leader Leon Camier gave Airwaves Yamaha a boost by resuming his place at the top of the MCE British Superbike timesheets during third free practice at Brands Hatch.

Having only managed the ninth fastest time following the opening day of action, Camier swept to the front after ten minutes and would stay there for the remainder of the session, setting the fastest lap of the weekend thus far with a 1min 26.776secs.

It was enough to keep him ahead of the continued Kawasaki SRT threat, Sheridan Morais proving the World Superbike team's best representative this time, although Broc Parkes was just one tenth behind in fourth position.

Between them, Karl Harris rose into the top ten for the first time this weekend with the third quickest time for Hydrex Honda, followed closely by team-mate Stuart Easton followed in fifth place.

Superstock rider Steve Brogan continued his impressive form on the HM Plant Honda in sixth, ahead of Suzuki's Tommy Hill and team-mate Karl Muggeridge, while Michael Rutter was also continuing to perform well on the MSS Colchester Kawasaki in ninth. Gary Mason led Mirror.co.uk Cup honours in tenth overall.

Elsewhere, James Ellison's tough time continued, the Airwaves Yamaha rider setting his first representative laps of the weekend, albeit down in 20th position.
