2008 British Supersport Championship runner-up Hudson Kennaugh has split from the Linxcel-Seton Tuning Yamaha team.

Having claimed three wins and six podiums last season to finish second overall behind Glen Richards, the South African is just eleventh in the 2009 standings after eight rounds with a best race finish of fourth.

Kennaugh is now 'assessing his options' but makes clear his target is a Superbike seat, whilst the team's Metzeler National Superstock 600 rider Nick Clark will make the step up to Supersport for the next round at Cadwell Park.

"I would like to thank Phil Seton and the boys for the way they welcomed me into the team,” said Kennaugh. “I really appreciate all the work they have done but I need to get into Superbikes and the best time to start is now. Phil has worked really hard to give me a fast machine and we have achieved so much. It is a real credit to the team to see how they have stepped up from last year in the way they have."
