Harris' Hydrex future in doubt?

Hydrex Honda team boss Shaun Muir has admitted he is considering the future of Karl Harris after a disappointing performance during the latest round of the British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park.

Although Harris currently sits a solid fourth in the overall standings, he has been comprehensively out paced by Stuart Easton, climbing onto the podium just twice compared to his team-mate's ten rostrum finishes.

The latest round at Cadwell Park signalled further disappointments, Harris qualifying in sixth position but being unable to convert that into anything better than 15th and eighth in the two races.

The result has led to Muir to suggest that the team had expected better from Harris come race day before admitting he is unsure 'where to go from here'.

“Karl qualified fairly strongly but to finish so far back in the races, especially the first one, was disappointing. It's just not working for him at the moment and I don't think it's unfair to say he under-performed, we expect better. I'm not quite sure what we do or where we go from here so I'll have a think over the next few days and take it from there.”
