Superb Camier stretches away

Leon Camier continued to set a blistering pace ahead of qualifying for the tenth round of the British Superbike Championship at Croft as he completed the third practice session a second quicker than anyone else.

Having topped FP1 and FP2 comfortably, Camier exerted his dominance once again during the final practice session, gradually lowering his best lap to emerge with a best of 1min 19.808secs.

A second quicker than Stuart Easton, who was the only other rider to breach 1min 21secs, the Scot once again led the chase for the Airwaves Yamaha rider and was two tenths faster than Confused.com Kawasaki of Simon Andrews.

The battle for fourth saw Hydrex's new signing Tommy Hill, James Ellison and Julien Da Costa dispute the position, with Hill coming out on top, ahead of Ellison, while a late effort from Josh Brookes moved him up to sixth ahead of Da Costa.

Just behind, Ryuichi Kiyonari's return continues to gather pace slowly, the Japanese rider going eighth fastest, ahead of Gary Mason and Sylvain Guintoli, the Frenchman making his first top ten appearance of the weekend.

Elsewhere, Karl Harris' tough induction on the Node4 Yamaha continued after he suffered a fall at Tower, leaving him 16th on the timesheets.
