Andrews: Second fastest bike, one third cost

Simon Andrews and MSS Colchester Kawasaki were left wondering hat might have been after a season best second on the grid at Croft last weekend was followed by a fall from third in race one and fifth, following a wrong tyre choice, in race two.

“Not happy would be being polite,” said Andrews. “I just want to forget all about chucking third place away in race one and race two was just so frustrating. I lost the front end so many times that it was all I could do just to finish fifth.”

“Simon's qualifying performance was stellar,” added team manager Nick Morgan. “There was only one bike faster than him on the day and that bike cost about three times as much as ours. His race one incident was a missed opportunity and in race two, he certainly worked hard for that place.”

Andrews heads into the final two rounds of the MCE British Superbiek Championship holding sixth in the standings, just half a point behind HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes and 3.5 points behind Relentless Suzuki's Ian Lowry.
