Airwaves Yamaha from Hydrex Honda in FP3

Leon Camier heads into qualifying for the latest round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Silverstone as the clear favourite for pole position after dominating final free practice.

Camier, who has already won eight pole positions from ten attempts this season, was the clear front runner from the start of the session and would eventually finish with a best lap of 1min 25.351secs.

Putting him eight tenths clear of James Ellison, Camier's team-mate spent his time dicing with Hydrex Honda pair Stuart Easton and Tommy Hill, the three-time race winner eventually getting the edge over his rivals.

Ian Lowry completed the top five to be the leading Suzuki rider, marginally ahead of GSX-R1000 counterpart Sylvain Guintoli, the Frenchman making a significant improvement since second free practice in sixth.

Josh Brookes was seventh best, ahead of Julien Da Costa, Glen Richards and Karl Harris.
