Stuart Easton is looking to end the 2009 MCE British Superbike season on the ultimate high after scoring a marvellous victory in the first of three races at Oulton Park.

Winning arguably the most memorable race of the season, Easton prevailed over Leon Camier, Tommy Hill and James Ellison in a battle that included a dramatic last lap move for the lead.

Described as a 'proper' victory by Easton, the Scot was delighted with his second win of the season, but is now setting his sights on emulating Camier's Brands Hatch feat in challenging for the 'triple'

“That was a proper victory, beating Leon fair and square, but it was hard work, very difficult,” the Hydrex Honda rider said. “The bike is getting better and better and it would be good to take Sunday's two race wins.”

The first time this season that Camier – a 17-time race winner – has been beaten in a straight fight for vctory, the championship leader was nonetheless full of praise for his rival.

“That was unbelievable, a great race. Stuart deserved his win.”
